Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Why are you so damn expensive?
Answer: The old saying is you get what you pay for. At SGH we provide the best selections on the market and those selections don't come cheaply. So, we spread that cost out over all our buyers so we can return a profit. We don't buy a handicapper's selection for $25 because ten times out of ten that play is GARBAGE, no better than a coin toss. The selections we purchase usually run us no less than $400-$500 per play and sometimes well into the thousands. To cover this cost we need to charge a higher than normal price. It's good however to be a "Follower" of ours on Twitter and visit our site every day BECAUSE while we do charge higher prices, occasionally we will run a sale here or there and cut our Late Info and Private Play prices down 80 or 90% to open them up to a wider audience! We also provide great free service on Twitter!  Just check the records on our main page!

Question: Why don't you sell monthly, weekly, or seasonal packages?
Answer: When a service sells you a longer term package (beyond just a day or a single selection) there is no motivation for that service to win for you EVERY single day. Once they have your money their drive turns from trying to win every day into trying to win in "the end". Meaning if a handicapper has you for a week long package all they need to do is win over the course of the week (most still don't) and then they can pat myself on the back as your savior. At SGH we need to win EVERY DAY and put forth our 110% EVERY DAY! Not offering these longer term packages ensures that consciously or subconsciously we do not sit back in any way but give it our all to get that win! If we lose for you on Saturday, you may not come back on Sunday to purchase. In a long term package, who cares if we win for you on Saturday because we can always chase on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc. in the hope of pulling out the winning week since WE HAVE YOU! It's not a way to do business in this industry yet most services do!

Question: I am a smaller player, can you cut me a break on your higher level plays?
Answer: Our higher priced selections are that way for several reasons. First, the selections cost us more. Second, the people who are buying those expensive selections don't want to see them posted on posting forums or in consensus reports. They want to ensure when they buy that the value is there for them in the line. Most higher level players do not post the selections on forums because they respect the value and the fact that other gamblers are going to be buying the same play and will want to get the best line. If someone else is paying $750 or $1000 a selection then why screw them by posting it for the world to see and watching the line move substantially against that play. The higher prices do limit the market for the games but those people who come to us and purchase those plays become very loyal as they know we are protecting the price for them and the buyers who purchase after them.

Question: If you can get such good plays and are so good, why bother selling selections? Why not bet the plays and make money that way????
Answer: Most people think this is a question no service can answer. True, most services cannot BUT our answer is quite simple. First, we can purchase a Late Info play for $5,000 and resell it on our website. The buyers at our website pay the cost for us to acquire that play. Our benefit is we got a $5,000 play that we can now bet ourselves for FREE since we resell the game to you to cover our cost. So, it actually helps us by increasing our gambling profit margin on our cost to buy the plays we offer and bet ourselves. Second, we can only put so much money in action through the handful of quality books out there. By reselling the games you effectively give us additional return on a selection that we otherwise may have maxed out at our books.

Question: Why do you take days off so much?!?!
Answer: During the football season we typically take off Tuesday and Wednesday. While most other services are touting their coin toss selections those days, we use Tuesday to unwind and step away from football for a day. On Wednesday we begin our work on the upcoming week of football and start to see what the services are going to be offering. By not worrying about selling selections these days allows us to clear our heads after a long and hard weekend. Something which is quite important in gambling...time away from gambling! While you may think all we do is just follow the hot services and post their plays, our job is much more complex. For most weekends there are a lot of plays and services we can select to fill a Private Play or Regular Play slot. There might be 20-40 good options for a Regular Play. So to pick between those services we assess the selections, the information they have on the game, their analysis, etc. We filter that through our staff and come up with the one service we will be using for our Private Play on Saturday out of what could be ten different Private Play options. We spend countless hours sorting through all the service plays and services to come up with our menu for a typical Saturday or Sunday. Once the football season is over you will often see us take off several days or even a week or two at a time. Football season is the Big Kahuna. It's where we make the most money releasing plays and where we make the most money betting plays (because the limits are so high). Winning BIG in football takes a lot of time, effort, stress, etc. to put together that winning season. Once the football season is over, the batteries need some recharging especially when, within 30 days of the end of football season, March Madness begins. So February is typically down time except for perhaps a few solid selections here or there. You will see us take the most days off in the summer months. Baseball is a quiet sport from a sales standpoint. So, we use that down time to take a vacation or two, spend time with family, and otherwise unwind to prepare and clear our heads for the football season to come. We do release plays in basketball, hockey, soccer, horses, and baseball but unlike most services who release plays every day from April to August we might only have plays on five or ten days during each of those months. In closing and on top of what we said above, services who sell every day are not winners. Professional and profitable gamblers will tell you that you will NEVER win by betting every day. Services that not only sell every day but sell multiple plays every day are simply marketing machines who lack quality in their plays. Their goal is simply put out half-assed selections with the goal of just generating revenue. That's not the way to run a business in this industry and you will NEVER see SGH do it!

Question: Why no baseball selections during the football season?
Answer: Similar to the response for the question above, winning at sports is very difficult. That's why Vegas sportsbooks are so lavish...they make boat loads of money. To truly be successful at sports betting you need to concentrate on select areas. It's not wise to be working on baseball during the week and then try to come back and work hard on football on the weekend. Concentrate where the money is and the money will follow (our records show it). Occasionally during the playoffs and World Series we may have a selection but outside those rare occasions, until December when NCAAFB turns into bowl season...we are 98% football with some sparse hockey, baseball, and basketball thrown in!
